Since November 2016, 4 students from our Master’s course have been part of the Bordeaux Alumni program.

The closing ceremony took place at Château Luchey Halde, where Mr. Olivier Lavialle from Bordeaux Sciences Agro presented them with their certificates that proved their participation in the program during the year.

The program is dedicated to connecting international students with local office managers and business leaders in the Bordeaux community. This involves a sponsor, essentially a local mentor, to help open up the students to more insights on French and Bordeaux business culture, and for the students to eventually act as an ambassador for Bordeaux upon their return home.
Students meet with their mentors throughout the year, as well as participate in different events with the other students, that focus on Bordeaux or French activities, e.g., a panel interview with the editors at the Sud Ouest newspaper, or workshops on how to deal with cultural diversity.

For this final event held at Luchey Halde, each of the students made a dish from their home countries (picture),which were shared and enjoyed by everyone present.
